Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data ResumeScore AI collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. This page is maintained by the ResumeScore AI team and describes current, app-visible practices.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, avatar, authentication provider (email or Google).
• Resume content: files you upload (PDF/DOCX), parsed text, and structured data.
• Job descriptions and the analyses, optimizations, and cover letters generated from them.
• Usage data: AI request counts, plan tier, timestamps used to enforce monthly quotas.
• Technical data: minimal logs and error reports needed to keep the service running.

2. How we use your data

• To operate the service — analyze resumes, generate rewrites and cover letters, and store your history.
• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, security notices). We do not send marketing email.
• To monitor abuse and enforce plan quotas.

3. AI processing

Resume text and job descriptions you submit are sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway) to generate analyses, rewrites, and cover letters. We do not use your content to train AI models, and our provider's policy is not to train on API inputs by default.

4. Storage and security

Data is stored in a managed Postgres database with row-level security so each user can only access their own rows. Uploaded resume files live in a private storage bucket accessed via short-lived signed URLs. Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the subprocessors needed to run the service:

• Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, authentication, storage.
• Google (Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway) — AI inference.
• Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
• Google OAuth — only if you choose "Sign in with Google".

6. Retention and deletion

Your resumes, analyses, and cover letters are retained until you delete them or delete your account. You can delete individual resumes and analyses from the app at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your content within 30 days.

7. Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your data from the app. If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you also have the right to request a copy of your data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. 8. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your theme preference. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Children

ResumeScore AI is not intended for children under 16. Do not create an account or upload content if you are under 16.

10. Changes

We will announce material changes to this policy by email or in-app before they take effect.
